This Museum was built in 1926 and considered as one of the heritage building and landmark of Bandung. The operation hours are from 07.00 am to 02.00 pm. It is closed in the afternoon, Sundays and public holidays. Considered as the largest museum of its kind in Southeast Asia, the collection of exhibits is indeed impressive: fossils, skeletons, replica of the skull of Java Man discovered in East Java, models of volcanoes including the documentation of Krakatau’s eruption in 1883, numerous minerals, meteorits and many more. A library which is holding many of the scientific treasures from the Dutch colonical period is also located in the same building.
